Couple of things that needs attention today and top of the list should be the exchanging of Singapore dollars to Malaysia ringgits. Yes, it’s about time for me to embark on a short trip to Ipoh, which is the capital city of the Malaysian state of Perak and also the seventh largest city of Malaysia.  Due to the economic downturn and missing out on Bitcoins when it was value at $1000, I reluctantly traded my "The Northern Lights" trip which a.k.a  Aurora borealis to "The Ipoh Trip" which I don't really mind considering that the flight time to Ipoh is about 1.5 hrs whereas the trip to "The Northern Lights place" takes like ....many many hours ...lol.   Will update on the trip when the time comes.

Anyway google is our best friend in this digital era and whatever you didn’t know,

Google have the answer......, or has it ?

Anyway the thing is during my previous visits to overseas I make the exchanges at various shopping malls which obviously and definitely they will gives you a lower rate.
Other than that I would frequent the shops at Raffles Place and Chinatown if I need to exchange a minimum of three thousand Singapore dollars. Don’t be surprise that  the difference in rates can most likely use to treat yourself a few good meal when overseas.

Therefore if you really want the best of rates when changing your foreign currencies you will need to do abit of homework.   Below are a few joints which is famous for currency exchange although I have only been to The Arcade and Chinatown which I think the rates are already the best in Singapore.

First on my list ;
Chinatown People’s Park Complex - those frequent there should know there are a couple of shops there which offers good rates especially the one with a long queue all the time. For foreigners who are here in Singapore on a holiday even if you are not in need of local currencies you may also want to give this place a visit.

Indulge in our local food delights at the food centre instead of patronising expensive restaurants where the food you get is probably about the same everywhere else in other parts of the world.

Second in place ( IMHO ) is The Arcade in Raffles Place which is located at the centre of the financial hub of Singapore.

               Imagine Raffles place picture  ( lol.. this is funny )

For travellers who are in Singapore you want to take a boat ride while you are there along the Singapore river and have a beer or 2 when it drops you off at Boat Quay which is in fact just a stone's throw away.

Third and last on my list is the Mustafa centre which I believed my locals and even travellers who had been here is familiar with.

Of course there are other places like the Singapore Changi Airport , where there are bank kiosks which allows you the make the exchange at your conveniency or if you are in a hurry.

Nothing wrong with changing with them as I have done so as well.
Just note that the bank’s rates where they offered are indeed well , at bank’s rates.
